A Tested Plan for the Day Everything Stops

Server failure, ransomware, fire, regional outage — disasters differ, but the question is the same: how fast can the firm work again? DRaaS gives you a measured, rehearsed answer.

Downtime during filing season isn't an IT problem — it's a revenue problem

When systems go down, an accounting firm doesn’t just lose access to files. It loses billable hours, filing windows, client confidence and staff morale — all at once. Recovery improvised in the moment takes days or weeks; recovery planned and rehearsed takes hours.

Backups alone don’t solve this. A backup tells you your data survives; disaster recovery tells you when your people are working again. Those are different questions, and the second one needs replication, standby capacity, documented runbooks and practice.

What DRaaS includes

MangoCloud replicates your protected systems to a separate recovery environment and maintains the plans, priorities and procedures needed to fail over when a qualifying event occurs. Recovery time objectives (how quickly systems return) and recovery point objectives (how much recent data could be lost) are defined in writing per system — and then verified through scheduled test recoveries.

When an event happens, we execute the plan: bring up systems in priority order, provide emergency access for your staff, and — once your primary environment is healthy again — manage an orderly failback. Throughout, you have one team accountable for the outcome.

Benefits

Main Benefits

Continuous replication

Protected systems replicate to an isolated recovery environment on a defined schedule.

Documented runbooks

Step-by-step recovery procedures exist on paper, not just in someone’s head.

Defined RTO and RPO

Written, per-system recovery time and recovery point objectives — commitments, not guesses.

Emergency access

Staff can reach recovered systems securely even if the office itself is unavailable.

Test recoveries

Scheduled failover tests prove the plan works and keep the documentation honest.

Managed failback

When the crisis passes, we return operations to the primary environment without a second disruption.

Core capabilities

01.

Replication

Server images and data replicate to recovery infrastructure that is separated from your production environment.

02.

Recovery environment

Standby compute and storage ready to run your critical systems when needed.

03.

Failover planning

Systems are ranked by business priority so the most important workloads return first.

04.

Recovery time objectives

Per-system RTO targets documented and validated by testing.

05.

Recovery point objectives

Replication frequency tuned to how much recent work each system can afford to lose.

06.

Test recovery

Non-disruptive tests exercise the failover process on a scheduled basis.

07.

Documentation

Runbooks, contact trees and decision criteria maintained as your environment changes.

08.

Business continuity alignment

Technical recovery mapped to how your firm actually operates during a crisis — people, phones, deadlines.

Scenarios DRaaS is designed for

01.

Ransomware

Fail over to clean replicated systems while the primary environment is investigated and rebuilt.

02.

Hardware or facility failure

Keep the firm working when a server dies or an office is inaccessible.

03.

Regional outage

Recover in separate infrastructure when a broader event affects your primary location.

04.

Deadline-critical periods

Enter filing season knowing a rehearsed plan protects your busiest weeks.

Our Value

Why Firms Choose MangoCloud

Evidence over promises

We schedule tests and share the results. We do not guarantee zero downtime — no honest provider can — we demonstrate measured recovery.

Season-aware planning

Testing and maintenance are scheduled around your filing calendar, never during it.

One team, whole incident

The team that planned your recovery is the team that executes it.

FAQs

Backup preserves data; disaster recovery restores operations. DRaaS adds replication, standby capacity, prioritized runbooks and testing so your firm is working again within a defined time — not just in possession of its files.

It depends on your systems and the tier you choose. Targets are defined per system during design and then validated through test recoveries, so the numbers you plan around are numbers we've demonstrated.

Test recoveries run on a scheduled basis — typically at least annually, with more frequent options. Tests are non-disruptive to production.

You do, with our recommendation. The plan names authorized approvers on both sides and the criteria for invoking failover, so the decision is fast but never accidental.

We manage failback: synchronizing changes made during the recovery period and returning operations to the primary environment in a planned window.
